Download validated and corrected files.

Download Options

After validation or corrections:

  1. Corrected File: File with all applied corrections
  2. Error Report (future): CSV of all errors
  3. Diff View (future): Side-by-side comparison

Download Corrected File

After Auto-Correct All

  1. Click "Apply All Corrections"
  2. Wait for re-validation (5-10 seconds)
  3. Click "Download Corrected File" button
  4. File saves to your Downloads folder

Filename Format: corrected_{original_filename}.txt

After Line-by-Line Review

  1. Review all errors (or skip remaining)
  2. Click "Generate Corrected File"
  3. Wait for file generation (2-5 seconds)
  4. Click "Download Corrected File" button

File Format

The corrected file maintains:

  • ✅ Exact record length (Louisiana: 1132 chars)
  • ✅ Fixed-width formatting
  • ✅ Original line endings (CRLF or LF)
  • ✅ UTF-8 encoding

Safe to submit to state agencies.

Session Management

Files are available for download:

  • Duration: 1 hour after validation
  • Storage: In-memory (backend)
  • Cleanup: Automatic after 1 hour

Download Promptly

Download within 1 hour. After that, you'll need to re-validate.

Best Practices

  • ✅ Download immediately after corrections
  • ✅ Keep both original and corrected files
  • ✅ Rename files descriptively (add date/version)
  • ✅ Verify corrections before submitting
  • ✅ Create backups before submitting to state
